Scott Monette received a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and gained hands-on experience working in fine dining establishments in New York City, Washington DC, New Port Beach, Seattle and Virginia. He was the General Manager of Adirondacks, a sommelier at the iconic 21 Club and held various management positions throughout the Marriott Hotels and Resorts franchise.
In 1993 Scott became General Manager and partner of the Flagstaff House, bringing a sharp eye for detail, a high level of professionalism and an innate ability to make every guest feel special – he was the perfect compliment to his brother Chef Mark Monette’s expertise in the kitchen.
Scott was General Manager and Partner of the Flagstaff house from 1993 to 2022. During his last years as owner, Scott ensured the Flagstaff House would have a long and successful path ahead. By investing in the infrastructure and through mentoring of todays owners; his nephew Adam Monette and Executive Chef Chris Royster.
