Kit Sawyer is the Dining Room Manager at Flagstaff House, a role she has held since September 2021. Originally from DeKalb, Illinois, she graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University with a B.A. in Hospitality Management and a minor in Art.

With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Kit’s career began at age 16 as a hostess at a local restaurant. She later gained experience as a server and worked in back-of-house operations, solidifying her passion for the fast-paced, social environment of restaurants.

A pivotal part of Kit’s journey was her time at Drowsy Water Ranch (DWR) in Granby, Colorado, where she spent summers vacationing as a child before working there for seven years—first as a server, then as head of the wait staff. Her experience at DWR deepened her love for hospitality and fostered a lasting connection to Colorado.

Kit is thrilled to be part of the Flagstaff House team. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and exploring new restaurants in Boulder and Denver.
